Not that long ago, historic resources that now fall into the category of “Recent Past” were not considered worthy of preservation. The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota has been behind the Recent Past movement with our sponsoring of the one-day symposium, The Future of the Modern Past in May of 2006 as well as our role as a partner with the National Trust for Historic Preservation when they conducted their Modern Module in the Twin Cities.

- Minnesota Modern: Era of Innovation is the third installment of NTHP’s “Modern Module” publications. The Modern Module program, a two-year endeavor in four cities, aims at building public support for and engaging in discussions focused on the study and protection of America’s modern architectural resources.

- DOCOMOMO US: A 501(c)(3) nonprofit stressing the importance of DOcumentation and COnservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the MOdern MOvement, with chapters in many states (check out DOCOMOMO MN’s Facebook).
