The Minnesota Preservation Awards is the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota’s annual program that recognizes individuals, groups and projects throughout the state that demonstrate a commitment to preserving Minnesota’s history. Each year 15 awards are selected from nominations submitted from around the state. The Alliance assembles a distinguished jury from our colleagues to chose the award recipients each year. The 2009 Minnesota Preservation Awards marked the 25th Anniversary of the Awards program. To celebrate this important landmark, the Awards ceremony was hosted in the stunning Great Hall of The Minneapolis Depot (former Milwaukee Road Depot), itself a 2002 Minnesota Preservation Award winner.
