Since 1981, the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota (PAM) has worked to preserve, protect, and promote Minnesota’s historic places. Located in downtown Saint Paul, it is the only statewide, private, non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of Minnesota’s historic resources.

PAM offers a variety of programming resources to accomplish its mission. The Field Services program works to educate and assist local advocates by providing information and strategic guidance. The Minnesota Main Street program focuses on the downtown commercial districts of Minnesota’s smaller communities, working to supply designated communities with the tools needed to revitalize and promote their downtown areas. On a yearly basis, the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota also celebrates the efforts of Minnesota’s advocates and successful preservation stories through our Minnesota Preservation Awards. All of these programs coupled with events like the (Anti)Wrecking Ball and the historic pub crawl series ensure that Minnesota’s historic resources are both protected and enjoyed.
