Friends of the Firehall, Bowlus
The Friends of the Firehall are raising funds to rehabilitate and preserve the historic building that housed the Bowlus Village Hall and Firehall. The Friends plan to reuse the firehall to tell about the history of Bowlus and its fire department. The stone rubble building was constructed during the Great Depression as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project. Exhibits about this important period in American history will also be incorporated into the firehall’s reuse.
PAM is pleased to help this emerging community group work to save this place that matters. Please make a tax-deductible contribution to help the Friends of the Firehall pursue rehabilitation and reuse of this local landmark.
